Filler (Filler Injection)

What is Filler Filler?

Filler filler is an aesthetic application used to shape facial contours and eliminate volume loss in the skin. Fillers are made with substances such as hyaluronic acid, calcium hydroxyapatite or polylactic acid. These substances are injected under the skin to correct problems such as fine lines, wrinkles, volume loss and sagging. Filler fillers are used especially in the face, cheekbones, lips, jawline, under-eye hollows and nasolabial lines.

Filler fillers do not require a surgical procedure and usually provide fast results. It is preferred to compensate for the loss of volume under the skin and to achieve a youthful, healthy appearance.

How is Filler Filler Applied?

Filler filler application is usually performed with local anesthetic cream and the procedure time varies between 15-30 minutes. The application steps are as follows:

  1. Counseling and Planning: The first step is to have a consultation to understand the patient’s expectations and goals. It is determined which areas will be filled.
  2. Cleaning the Application Areas: The areas to be treated are sterilized and anesthetic cream is applied. This cream provides comfort during the procedure.
  3. Injection of Filler: The filler is injected into the face with fine needles or cannulas. Small doses are injected into each area.
  4. Massage and Final Control: After the injection, the area is gently massaged and the filler is distributed evenly. Afterwards, the application area is checked.

During the procedure, the patient usually feels minimal pain and starts to see results immediately.

Filler Filler Aftercare

The healing process after filler filling is usually fast, but there are some points to be considered:

  1. Swelling and Bruising: Mild swelling and bruising may occur after the procedure, especially in the first 24-48 hours. This condition resolves spontaneously within a few days. Cold compresses can be applied to reduce swelling and bruising.
  2. Exercise and Excessive Facial Mimics: Excessive facial movements, intense exercises and hot environments (such as sauna, bath) should be avoided for the first 24 hours after the application. This allows the filler to settle better.
  3. Touch and Massage: Care should be taken not to apply excessive pressure on the treated area. However, if the doctor recommends, some areas can be massaged.
  4. Sun Protection: After the procedure, care should be taken not to go out in the sun and use sunscreen, especially in the areas where fillers were applied.
  5. Results and Follow-up: After filler filling, an immediate improvement is usually observed. However, it may take a few days for the filler to be accepted and settled by the body. If the filler result is not exactly as desired, additional filler applications can be performed.

Filler filler is usually a temporary solution and its effect may decrease after a certain period of time (between 6-18 months). Therefore, it may need to be renewed regularly.
